Chennai, 2nd February 2022: The much-awaited event in the Calendar of Primary School Children across the country, SIP ARITHMETIC GENIUS CONTEST, the largest All India online arithmetic contest by SIP Abacus successfully held a virtual prize distribution ceremony for National Winners. It was conducted as a physical contest till 2019 and in the last 2 years, in spite of the pandemic, the contest has been conducted without cancellation or disruption as an online contest.
The Chief Guest of the program, Dr. Tessy Thomas, fondly referred to as the Missile Woman of India – Distinguished Scientist, Director General (Aeronautical Systems), DRDO, Ministry of Defence – Government of India, congratulated all the student participants and winners and expressed her appreciation for SIP for offering courses that will help to improve concentration, listening skills, arithmetic skills, self-confidence & memory, and help each young brain to become a Junior Leader.
“We all have natural intelligence. Intelligence Quotient will increase when you practice through training and testing” said Dr Tessy Thomas, while addressing the students in the prize distribution ceremony of SIP Arithmetic Genius Contest 2021.
The 6th Edition of the Contest, conducted by the SIP Abacus for students in Classes 2 to 5, saw a participation of more than 95,000children registered from 1025 Top Schools across the countrycovering 20 states, 375+ cities and towns. The 3-tier contest with City level, State level and the National level Final Round helps in building a solid foundation in the basics of Arithmetic and also fostering the competitive spirit in children. This mega event was conducted across India with the involvement of over 2000 SIP Abacus instructors and SIP Abacus centre heads.
SIP Arithmetic Genius Contest 2021 saw a large number of prizes being won by students across India. Over 25000 prizes with cash prizes over Rs. 15 lakhs were won at various levels.

Ltd. said, “SIP Arithmetic Genius Contest is an annual event and we are happy to present an opportunity for young children to showcase their solid foundation in the basics of mathematics and win early recognition for their talents. I strongly believe that Basic Mathematics is important to do well in any area. Through the Abacus programme, children can be helped to improve their arithmetic ability.”
He also highlighted the fact that SIP Abacus has trained more than9.5 lakhs children from 325 cities in 22 States across India and prepared them to face life more confidently.
