Chennai, 21st October 2024: There was excitement in the air as the contestants and guests including celebrities congregated to enjoy an evening of glitz and glamour as the Grand Finale the 13TH edition of “Iris Face of Chennai” held at Radisson Blu in Chennai.
‘Face of Chennai’ is an annual event that seeks to identify complete beauty, talent, personality and positive attitude in young men and women aged between 18 -28 years. The prime target audience comprises college students and working professionals aspiring for careers in modelling and acting. The event is being conducted for the 13th consecutive years having been first launched in the year 2012.
This year the event saw participation of 14 men and 10 women in the final round, ranging between the ages of 18 to 28, competing across two categories: Mr. IRIS Face of Chennai and Ms. IRIS Face of Chennai. These finalists were carefully selected after a rigorous audition process that saw over 500 participants. From this talented pool, 70 contestants were shortlisted for the second stage and the contestants went through an intensive workshop conducted by IRIS Glam in Styling, Ramp Walk Techniques and Communication imparted by experts from their respect fields.
This event is an initiative of IRIS Events – celebrating 25 years of excellence, IRIS has consistently delivered high-quality experiences that empower individuals and communities and has and has done more than 400 events. The curtain rose with a thematic Fashion Show choreographed by Mr. Sanjay KumarAsrani (Fashion choreographer, Actor & Model). The girls and boys were dressed up in traditional attire. The Finalists were a feast to the eyes of the audience The second round saw the contestants sashay the ramp glittering in evening wear.
Mr Johnson Jublie, beatboxer & entertainer and Miss Shri Latha enthralled the audience with their special performance.
The event was well attended by celebrities and noted personalities from all walks of life. Special guests along with jury members comprising of renowned personalities such asMs. Parvati Nair Actress, Dr Renita Rajan Celebrity dermatologist, Dr Sam Paul Director & CEO of Paulsons group of companies, Ms Upasana RC Actress & Model, Ms. Dhatshacelebrity costume designer & Actress, Mr Girish Ayyapath – Actor & stage artist and Mr. Daniel D Studio production housegraced the occasion all of whom brought star power to the event and encouraged the contestants with their inspiring presence.
THE AWARDS
The winners were crowned by Ms. Parvati Nair, Dr Renita Rajan & Dr. Sam Paul.
As IRIS events celebrated its 25th Year, two main titles were instituted namely IRIS Face of Chennai – King and IRIS Face of Chennai – Queen
Mr. Rithiesh – model by profession was crowned as the Iris face of Chennai “KING “
Miss. SADHVI SAIL – model by profession was crowned as the Iris face of Chennai “QUEEN”.
Miss. SANTRA was crowned as the winner of Miss. IRIS Face of Chennai 2024 (BCA Student), Miss. UDITH DHARSHINIwas 1st runner up & Miss. SUJJITHA was 2nd runner up & Miss. Ruzaina was 3rd Runner up
Mr.Prasun Mondal was crowned as the winner of Mr. Iris Face of Chennai 2024, Mr.Ramsuresh L was 1st runner up, Mr. Hariharan was 2nd runner up & Mr. Santosh Singh was 3rd runner up.
In addition to the main titles, several subtitles were also awarded to deserving participants. These included: Dreamzone Mr & Miss Style Icon, Iris Glam Mr. & Miss Catwalk, Naturals Mr. & Miss Charisma, Slam Mr. & Miss Fitness
The IRIS Face of Chennai 2024 event successfully celebrated beauty, and talent making it a grand spectacle for all in attendance.
