Chennai, April 2025: The Eye Research Centre, received a generous amount of Rs.12,48,236/- from GEM Holiday Resorts Limited (Gem Group of Companies, Chennai) to expand their community outreach program including sight-restoration. The donation will strengthen the Eye Research Centre’s ongoing efforts to ensure affordable and accessible eye care for individuals from the marginalised communities.
Expressing gratitude for the collaboration, Dr. Athiya Agarwal, President of the Eye Research Centre, said, “At the Eye Research Centre, our mission is to restore vision and improve lives of the economically weak. We thank Gem Holiday Resorts Ltd for supporting our cause and we consider this association just the beginning of a meaningful collaborative partnership. We will be utilising the fund to help restore eyesight for people from backward communities.”
