Chennai, September 6, 2025:
As part of its 120th Foundation Day celebrations, Bank of India today inaugurated its 82nd branch in the Chennai Zone, reinforcing its commitment to expanding its presence and promoting financial inclusion in key growth regions.
The new branch is strategically located at No. 23, First Floor, Rajiv Gandhi Salai (OMR), Sholinganallur, Chennai 600100, a rapidly developing commercial and residential hub in Chennai.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Shri Durgesh Nandan Verma, I.O.F.S., General Manager, Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited, Avadi (Ministry of Defence, Government of India), who attended the event as the Chief Guest. He was joined by Shri B. Guganesh, Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer, IRTS Southern Railway, and Shri Mohan Marethi, Zonal Manager, Bank of India, Chennai Zone, along with senior executives and staff of Bank of India.
In his address, the Chief Guest commended the Bank for its proactive approach in deepening customer relationships and expanding access to quality banking services across regions. The Zonal Manager and senior officials reaffirmed the Bank’s focus on service excellence, digital innovation, and inclusive banking, aimed at meeting the evolving needs of its diverse customer base.
A large number of customers and well-wishers participated in the ceremony and expressed their appreciation for the Bank’s customer-centric initiatives. The event concluded on a positive and enthusiastic note, marking a promising beginning for the new branch.
