Chennai, November 2025:
Rajasthani Association Tamilnadu proudly announces the 2nd edition of its prestigious ‘Rajasthani–Tamil Seva Awards 2026’, an initiative to honour exceptional individuals and institutions for their outstanding contributions to the people of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The awards will be presented under eight categories —
Agriculture & Rural Development, Arts & Culture, Education & Healthcare, Entrepreneurship & Industry, Environment & Sustainability, Media & Communication, Public Service & Governance, and Social Welfare.
Each award carries a cash prize of ₹2,00,000, along with a trophy and citation.
Nominations Open
Nominations are open to the public from 12th November to 5th December 2025 at www.rajasthanitamil.org.
Individuals, institutions, and practitioners from the public, private, or voluntary sectors — irrespective of size, caste, creed, or background — are eligible to apply. Applicants must submit details of their service, area of work, and supporting documents through the website.
All complete entries will be carefully evaluated by an independent Shortlisting Committee based on impact, integrity, and alignment with the objectives of the awards. Shortlisted nominations will then be placed before the Jury for final selection.

The Jury comprises eminent personalities from diverse fields:
- Shri S. Gurumurthy – Editor, Thuglak Magazine & Chairman, Vivekananda International Foundation (Chairman)
- Shri N. Ravi – Senior Journalist & Former Editor-in-Chief, The Hindu
- Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam – Padma Vibhushan Awardee & Bharatanatyam Scholar
- Prof. E. Balagurusamy – Former Vice-Chancellor, Anna University & Founder, EBG Foundation
- Shri N. Sugalchand Jain – Philanthropist & Founder, Bhagwan Mahaveer Awards
- Shri Narendra Srisrimal – Ex-Officio Member, President, Rajasthani Association Tamilnadu
Leaders’ Remarks
Shri Narendra Srisrimal, President of Rajasthani Association Tamilnadu, said:
“We initiated the Rajasthani–Tamil Seva Awards to recognise and honour those who have served the people of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry with dedication and compassion. An independent Shortlisting Committee and Jury have been constituted to identify the most deserving awardees through a transparent, merit-based process.”
Shri Ajit Chordia, Chairman of Rajasthani–Tamil Seva Awards 2026, added:
“The Rajasthani Association’s office bearers have no role in the selection. The Jury’s decision, based on authenticity and merit, is final. These awards are meant for individuals and institutions serving the people and the state of Tamil Nadu.”
CA Anil Khicha, Convenor of Rajasthani–Tamil Seva Awards 2026, stated:
“We will present a maximum of five awards this year across the eight categories. Each awardee will receive ₹2,00,000 in cash prize, a trophy, and a citation. Nominations remain open from 12th November to 5th December 2025 at www.rajasthanitamil.org.”
About the First Edition (2025):
The inaugural Rajasthani–Tamil Seva Awards were held in March 2025, graced by Hon’ble Justice K.R. Shriram, Chief Justice of the Madras High Court, as Chief Guest.
The awardees included:
- Dr. Irai Anbu, IAS (Former Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu) – Public Service
- C.D. Sanath Kumar, Founder, Cambridge & Indus Valley Schools – Innovations in Education
- Swami Vivekananda Rural Development Society – Social Welfare, transforming rural lives since 1979
- M. Yoganathan, Bus Conductor from Coimbatore, known as “The Tree Man of India” – Environment & Sustainability, for planting lakhs of trees — a contribution acknowledged by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Mann Ki Baat (2021)
About Rajasthani Association Tamilnadu:
Founded in 1967 under the visionary leadership of Shri G.P. Shah and inaugurated by the late Shri C.N. Annadurai, then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, the Rajasthani Association Tamilnadu has been a pioneering organisation in social service, cultural promotion, and community welfare.
