20th National Conference of CAPSI was held in Chennai

Chennai, Nov, 2025:

The Central Association of Private Security Industry (CAPSI) organised its 20th National Conference on 15th & 16th November, 2025 at IIT Madras Reasearch Park Auditorium in Chennai. The two-day national conference witnessed eminent leaders and experts from Security, Safety, Intelligence, Defence, Law Enforcement, Technology and Disaster Management among various industry sectors. About 600 delegates from across the country and more than 30 students from Criminology Department, Rashtriya Raksha University, Puducherry were present which made it one of impactful editions in CAPSI’s history.

The Chief Guest Shri. C.V.Ganesan, Hon’ble Minister for Labour Welfare & Skill development were received by Shri. Kunwar Vikram Singh, Chairman, CAPSI & APDI and Shri. Nevil Rayan, President, CAPSI Tamil Nadu Chapter.

Shri. Nevil Rayan during his welcome address underlined the indispensable role of private security in national safety, corporate resilience and economic growth of the nation.

Inaugural keynote address delivered by Shri. Kunwar Vikram Singh, Chairman, CAPSI & APDI emphasised the need for continuous transformation of security industry through adoption of technology, advanced training and unified standards.

Hon’ble Minister for Labour Welfare & Skill development Shri. C.V.Ganesan launched CAPSI’s Security Guards Training Syllabus Book and during his address to delegates wholeheartedly appreciated CAPSI’s long-standing contributions to strengthening the private security industry. He highlighted how the industry has grown into an integral part in national development, both by providing large-scale employment and by contributing significantly to the country’s GST revenue. Moreover, the minister paid special tribute to the unmatched contributions of security guards during the COVID-19 pandemic. He acknowledged that the security guards risked their own lives remained on-duty during lockdowns and safeguarded industries, hospitals, banks, essential public infrastructure thereby assuring continuity and safety when the nation was under immense distress. He called their service as heroic, selfless and truly laudable. Recognising the hardships and risks borne by security guards, he assured of discussing with the Hon’ble Chief Minister the possibilities of introducing enhanced welfare schemes for security personnel across Tamil Nadu. The Minister’s commitment received resounding appreciation from the delegates.

The 20th CAPSI National Conference showcased path-breaking achievements such as Signed an MoU with ‘DigiSurakshalaunched the CAPSI Connect App, presentation of awards to achievers and had created opportunity to extensive networking, collaboration, listening to thought leaders with deliberations & dialogues among other industry interactions.

On the second day of the conference, Smt. Dr.Seema Agarwal IPS, DGP, Tamil Nadu Fire & Rescue Services, addressed the delegates and made special appeal to private security companies and employees to extend full coordination and proactive support to the Fire & Rescue Services during emergencies. She made a significant announcement that Tamil Nadu Fire & Rescue Services department will provide Free fire training to Security companies upon request – a transformative initiative for capacity-building at the frontline level. Dr. Agarwal later presented the Golden Guard Awards, recognising exceptional security personnel for their dedication and service excellence.  

The conference concluded with vote of thanks by Shri. Mahesh Sharma, Secretary General, CAPSI & ADPI, expressing gratitude to speakers, delegates, sponsors and the organising team.
