The Grand 45th Graduation Day Ceremony of Shift II, Guru Nanak College (Autonomous), Guru Nanak Salai, Velachery, Chennai was conducted on 20.03.2021.
Chief Guests were,
The Commissioner of Treasury and Accounts, Thiru. KUMAR JAYANT, I.A.S., presented the Degrees and delivered the Graduation Day Address in the morning ceremony.

The Secretary to Governor of Tamil Nadu, Shri. ANANDRAO VISHNU PATIL presented the Degrees and delivered the Graduation Day Address in the evening ceremony.
Mr.Manjit Singh Nayar, General Secretary and Correspondent initiated the Graduation Ceremony.
Dr.M.G.Ragunathan, Principal delivered the Welcome Address and presented the Annual Report 2019-20 of the college. In his report, he highlighted the infrastructure developments, introduction of the School System, adherence to e-Governance and the new initiatives undertaken in the college. The Principal proudly stated that 41% of the graduates were first generation learners.
During the lockdown, 321virtual programmes were organised by the college, YouTube channel was inaugurated and the college was the first to house 400 migrants from Odisha and later 2200 guest migrant workers from Assam, Tripura and Nagaland.

Thiru. KUMAR JAYANT, I.A.S in his Graduation address said that one journey of the students’ academic life is getting completed today and it will be an unforgettable day due to Corona. He stated that the past year has been a year of change to learn new things.
“Never stop Learning. Realise the value of Time. Always remember you have a right to question everything.”
“Don’t be afraid to do what you think. As long as you have confidence, interpersonal skills and knowledge gaining skills, you can be successful in life.”
He insisted that the graduates should take pride in our country’s heritage

Shri. ANANDRAO VISHNU PATIL in his Graduation address said,
“Blessings of Guru Nanak devji will always be there for the students.Students should take inspiration from A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Sundar pichai, who captured the minds of the people. Don’t fear about future, create your future with self confidence”.
