Chennai, May, 2021: ALERT, a voluntary non-profit organisation working to ensure ‘Right to life’ a reality in India and currently involved in Covid-19 support has partnered with Vivartana a Chennai based company engaged in education and infrastructure ventures, to provide essential supplies to healthcare workers at Adyar Cancer Institute, Chennai.
The Essential supplies include 1500 personal protective equipment (PPE) kits, 1500 3 ply masks, 1500 hand gloves, 1500 face Shields and 3000 N95 masks. Mr. V M Muralidharan Chairman, ALERT; Ms. Kala Balasundaram, Founder Trustee and Mr. Rajesh Trivedi, Managing Trustee of ALERT handed over the COVID resources to Dr. Sagar, Director (Emeritus), Adyar Cancer Institute.
Ever since the beginning of the Pandemic in Chennai, ALERT has been actively involved in spreading awareness about COVID 19 to educational institutions, corporates, and common people through the “Be ALERT” campaign said Mr V M Muralidharan Chairman, ALERT. Today with the support from Vivartana we have handed over COVID essential supplies for the frontline workers who are fighting the pandemic on the frontline at Adyar Cancer Institute, added Mr V M Muralidharan.
With a day-to-day surge in positive cases, it is imperative to safeguard our healthcare workers. We are committed to contributing to the efforts of providing essential materials for the frontline workers in Chennai who are risking their lives every day, to save ours said Ms. Kala Balasundaram, Founder Trustee, ALERT.
