Chennai, July 21, 2024 – The CEM-EDU Awards 2024, a prestigious ceremony celebrating outstanding educators in the fields of Commerce, Economics, and Management (CEM), took place on July 21st, 2024, at the Tamil Virtual Academy Auditorium in Chennai. The event recognized 46 educators, from government school teachers to university faculty members, for their invaluable contributions to shaping future generations of business leaders.
The ceremony was graced by Shri. V. Nanda Kumar IRS, Commissioner of Income Tax, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India, as the Chief Guest.
The event featured Special Guests CMA. Divya Abhishek, Chairperson, ICMAI, Prof. Dr. K Maran, Professor & Director, Dept. of Management Studies, Sai Ram Institute of Management Studies, and Prof. L. Venkatachalam, RBI-Chair, MIDS, Chennai. Their presence underscored the importance of recognizing and rewarding educational excellence.
Presiding over the event was Prof. Dr. J Khaja Sheriff, Professor & Head, Management Studies, University of Madras, who highlighted the critical need for innovative teaching practices and the impact of quality education on economic development

Among the honourees was Deepa Rajesh, Vice President (Academics) and Executive Director of AMET Business School, AMET University, Chennai. Her dedication to academic excellence and leadership in education was duly recognized.
