The third day of the Sundaram Finance Mylapore Festival 2025 began with a lovely vocal concert by the students of Mahathi Academy at the Sri Kapaleeshwara Temple. This was followed by a string art workshop and a chess tournament that saw good participation from children.
The highlight of the day was the colourful Kolam contest that resulted in some beautiful and stunning kolam designs. North Mada Street came alive with vibrant colours. A huge crowd gathered for this event with people perched on the balconies of adjoining buildings looking on.
In the evening, Thiruvanmiyur D Rajesh and his team performed a Nadaswaram concert outside the East Gopuram of Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple that was well appreciated. This was followed by the students of PSBB Senior Secondary School from KK Nagar delivering a choral concert with some lovely renditions of Carnatic pieces that had the crowd clap enthusiastically. Then there was a highly energetic garba performance, Silambattam and Tamil folk dances that was well received by the large crowd.
