Chennai, February 2026: The Delhi leg of the HCL Squash Indian Tour concluded at the Shiv Nadar University, Delhi NCR campus, following five days of high-intensity international competition that brought together 48 elite squash players from eight countries. Organised by HCL Group in partnership with the Squash Rackets Federation of India (SRFI), with support from the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, the tournament saw players compete for crucial Professional Squash Association (PSA) world-ranking points.

The Delhi PSA tournament marked the sixth stop on the national circuit, following successful legs in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Jaipur, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, further reinforcing India’s growing stature as an emerging hub for international squash competition. Players from Egypt, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Brunei, Malta, Iran, and India showcased exceptional skill and competitive intensity across both the men’s and women’s draws.

In the women’s final, Malak Fathy (EGY) emerged victorious after a hard-fought contest against Sehveetrraa Kumar (MAS), displaying resilience and tactical control in a closely contested match with a winning score 3-2: 11-6, 8-11, 8-11, 11-6, 11-5. In the men’s final, Abdullah Hafez (EGY) delivered a dominant performance to clinch the title, underlining the high competitive standards against Ravindu Laksiri (SRI) with an impressive score of 3-0: 11-6, 11-7, 11-6.

The PSA-registered tournament offered an equal prize purse of USD 6,000 in both the men’s and women’s categories, reinforcing HCL’s continued commitment to gender parity and professional excellence in sport.
