Chennai, 25th December 2021: Omega Seiki Mobility, today launched India’s fastest charging electric 3-Wheeler Rage+ Rapid EV in Chennai. The company has commenced accepting booking for Rage+ Rapid EV in two variants: Rage+ RapidEVOpen Carrier Half Tray (ex-showroom price ₹3.59 lakh) and Rage+ RapidEV with 140 cubic feet top body container (ex-showroom price ₹3.99 lakh). The company showcased its new products at OSM’s new state-of-the-art showroom DAT EV, Unit of Jeevambika Enterprises, 481, 4, C.T.H Road, Ambattor OT, Chennai.
Omega Seiki’s Rage+ Rapid EVs (Both Variants), comes with RapidX 6,000 fast-charging batteries based on the flagship InstaCharge technology innovated by Log 9 Materials, which enables the vehicles to get fully charged within 35 minutes, thereby making them the fastest-charging three-wheelers available in India currently. The parts & batteries of the range are optimally designed to work within tough Indian weather conditions between operating temperatures of -30°C to +60°C, allowing up to 40,000 charge-discharge cycles, 10+ years of battery life, and a range of 90km+ in a single charge when fully charged. Additionally, the Rage+ Rapid EVs come with a Rs 1 lakh buyback guarantee within 5 years (after the purchase); this buyback guarantee is a first in the Indian market and attempts to solve the challenges associated with the resale value of EVs. Rage+ Rapid EV offers a 5-year vehicle warranty and 6-year battery warranty.

Talking about the plans for South of India, Mr. Narangadded “Omega Seiki Mobility currently have 2 showrooms in Chennai and we will be expanding this number to 4 showrooms by end of this fiscal. We have a plan to launch 50 showrooms across South India by 2022. We are also developing proper charging infrastructure under our brand OSM Grid in South India and would be coming up with 25 charging stations by end of 2022.”
OSM has further announced that post their 2nd dealership launch they are planning of launching 2 more outlets by the end of this fiscal year. A final count of 50 outlets all over South India is being aimed by the vehicle manufacturer to inject pace in bringing about the EV revolution to the South.
Talking about Financing of the vehicles Mr. Narang said, “Anglian Omega Group is all about providing solutions, we saw that there was lack of Institutions providing Electric Vehicles financing makes the process frustrating and tiresome for the customer, hence we thought of launching Anglian Finvest. The company will enhance the customer experience and journey while financing OSM vehicles. For the initial phase, we are only financing Omega Seiki Mobility vehicles, but in long term we plan to offer loans to other Electric Vehicle Companies.”
