Shiv Nadar University Chennai Announces Admissions Open for Academic Year 2024-25

Chennai: Shiv Nadar University Chennai, has opened admissions for its undergraduate, for the academic year 2024-25. Committed to fostering inclusivity and convenience for all prospective candidates, the university holds a Shiv Nadar University Common Entrance Examination (SNUCEE) 2024. This computer-based offline examination will be available nationwide, allowing students to choose their local centre for the examination. To attract international students, the university has also established an examination centre in Dubai.

Shiv Nadar University Chennai is the first state-private University to be legislated in Tamil Nadu after 90 years (since the Annamalai University Act in 1928), upon the passing of the Shiv Nadar University Act 2018. The university provides six specialized undergraduate programs encompassing engineering, commerce, and economics. Beyond academics, students are given opportunities to participate in knowledge-building activities such as hackathons and other competitions to showcase their skills. In 2023, a number of teams comprising a large group of students from the university were selected for the government led- Smart India Hackathon and several other Hackathons. 

Eligibility Criteria:

Undergraduate Programs: Candidates who have completed or appeared for the Grade 12th standard board examinations are eligible to apply. Admission is based on the Entrance Test (SNUCEE) followed by an interview and is subject to obtaining at least 75% marks in Board Examination. The examination will have two main sections: Aptitude and Domain Knowledge. Entrance exam duration: Two hours. Exam pattern: The test will encompass both aptitude (45 minutes) and domain knowledge (75 minutes). Indian students with 90 percentile and above in JEE MAIN can apply for admissions directly without SNUCEE.
